February show photos:

What a great way to end a great year of playing music. Big thanks to three old friends, musicians who made the last shows very special for us. Tommy Byrnes from the Billy Joel band, Louie Appel from Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and "Birthday Boy" Tony Bruno from Enrique Iglesias Band. If you missed any of these shows here's the re-cap.....

At Hogs/NYC a "stage raid" by Tommy Byrnes and Louie Appel. Tommy is on break from the Billy Joel-Elton John Tour and is currently appearing on Broadway with the hit show Movin' Out. Tommy is the Musical Coordinator for the show and brought down some of the cast and crew. Tom joined us on-stage with Asbury Juke, Louie Appel (featured in this month's Modern Drummer Magazine) who just returned from a fall tour with the Jukes in Europe.

OK Club Alum, Tony Bruno on tour/recording break from Enrique's band joined us at New World Home Cooking in Woodstock for a December CD Release Birthday Show. After the show the party continued at The Woodstock Lodge with Doug, Tony Tommy and I playing a acoustic-electric set until 5AM! Thanks to all our friends who came to New World we raised money from CD sales for the JDF and the MS society.

Mazarin Live at the Ritz-1984 is also available. New World Woodstock was a packed dance scene. We'll be back in Feb-March, date TBA......

Wed, Nov 20th 9:30pm. 1st ave. bet 95th & 96th Streets
Contrary to what you may have heard Brassiere donations are only optional. But if you choose to do so it makes no difference to us if it's a Maidenform, PlaytexÊor La Perla. We're expecting some special musical guests (our road weary pals) whose major tours should be getting a holiday break about now.

The band is on baby break and we've welcomed Michaela Faith into the world!!!
Right on target she joined us the day we would have played at New World Home Cooking in Woodstock, NY! That date has been rescheduled for Friday, December, 6th.

We're booking a show on Long Island at The Odyssey in Amityville that will include The OK Club-Mazarin, Linkfour and the Vagrants. The Allman Bros., Phil Lesh Band and Gov Mule have Warren Haynes who plays guitar in all three. The OK Club has Tommy San Filippo doing the same. Link Four Tommy's "Popedelic" original project and The Vagrants are one of the original super bands to come out of NY-LI during the 60's. In the Vagrants Tommy fills the spot created originally by Mountain's Leslie West. These are great bands and great friends and will make for a big jammin night. Date TBA!

Dec 2002 CD Release: "Mazarin Live at the Ritz 1984"
Mazarin-OK Club band archivist Tom "Morty" Mortensen has gone to the vault and re-mixed tapes that were recorded at The Ritz in 1984. The Ritz was the Premier NYC large club concert venue in the 80's. Mazarin played there twice once as support for the band Autograph and then headlining on their own. This CD is from the second show which was never supposed to become anything other then a taped reference for the bands use. Morty played them for us and encouraged us to release this. They are so much fun and include the raw energy, excitement, and feeling that was the band at that period of time. Mazarin at "The Ritz" consisted of Kirk Powers on Bass, Tommy Williams on Guitar, Keyboards and Vocals and Marc and Doug doing their thing.

The CD also includes fan and band interviews (recorded at the time) and an Introduction by Bob Buchman of New York's Q104 then of Long Island's WBAB. The CD was made from a high quality tape recording from the sound board. The mix was for the audience and the hall not for a CD but everything is on there and out front. Song's include: The Only One, Rockers, Slave To Rock and Roll, All Alone, Forever, Ladies Game, Can't Deny and others. Where were you in '84? (December 2002 release).
